02 die, 08 injured in road mishaps

Srinagar July 04: Two persons died while eight other were injured in different road accidents across the valley.

In Kulgam, a lady Nayeema wife of Rayees Ahmed Lone resident of Yesbutpora fell from a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01F/7196 near Degree College Kulgam. She was shifted to District Hospital Kulgam where she succumbed to her injuries. Kulgam police has registered a case in this regard.

In Anantnag, a sumo bearing registration number JK03D-9606 hit and injured a pedestrian Ali Mohammad Hajam resident of Shergund Achabal at Bochan Achabal. The injured was shifted to the Sub district Hospital Shangus where he succumbed to his injuries. Achabal Police has registered a case in this regard.

In Bandipora, a Maruti Alto 800 bearing registration number JK09-3632 met with an accident near Yali Mode Pethkote resulting injuries to 05 persons. All the injured were shifted to Hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.

In Kupwara, a motorcycle hit and injured a pedestrian Shamsudin Khan resident of Kalarooch near Main Market Trehgam. In this accident the motorcyclist Showket Ahmed Dar resident of Reshigund Trehgam was also injured. Both the injured have been shifted to Hospital for treatment. Kupwara police has registered a case in this regard.

In Ganderbal, an Innova bearing registration number JK04B/1956 collided with motorcycle bearing registration numberJK01G/3467 on National Highway at Raizen Gund, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment and a case has been registered in this regard.
