11 teachers suspended in Srinagar

Srinagar Mar 18: Eleven teachers of Government High School Humhama were suspended on Saturday for the negligence of duty. A spokesperson for Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK) said that they were suspended for late arrival and negligence in duty.

“A report for their suspension was submitted to DSEK, and Director School Education issued instructions for immediate suspension of these teachers,” the statement said. The spokesperson said that on the directions of Director School Education Kashmir Dr. G.N. Itoo a team of senior officers headed by Joint Director made a surprise visit to many schools of District Budgam and took stock of the teaching-learning process in the schools. During the inspection, the team visited Middle School Wagoora, High School Chattergam, Middle School S K Bagh, Boys Middle School Kralapora, HSS Khanda, HSS B K pora and High School Humhama.

Director School Education Kashmir in a statement said that when on one side the Department is organizing many activities, on the other side the monitoring of the teaching-learning process shall continue by the already constituted teams and all the erring officials shall be dealt with according to norms.
