Srinagar: The majestic Bana Singh Parade Ground at the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre today, showcased its latest batch of 120 passing out recruits from the state of J&K. Marching in precise unison with a singular aim of devoting themselves to the nation’s cause, singing their Regimental Song “Balidanam Veer Lakshnam”, the young soldiers inspired one and all as their voice echoed in the Valley.
Today Recruit Course Serial number 101 culminated, on having completed 42 week of strenuous training. Their Passing out Parade, depicting graduation of a Recruit and his transformation into a Young Soldier, was reviewed by a decorated veteran Col (Dr) Virendra Kumar, Vir Chakra and was attended by over 1000 parents and relations of the young soldiers from all over the state of J&K along with a number of civil and military dignitaries. The awe-inspiring ‘Oath Ceremony’ reflected the indomitable spirit of the young soldiers who dedicated their very being to the service of the nation. Their Ceremonial ardour and salute to the tri-colour with National Anthem playing inspired patriotic vigour in all present. Col (Dr) Virendra Kumar, Vir Chakra (Retd) congratulated the young soldiers for their immaculate Parade and impressed upon selfless service towards the Nation. He praised their contribution towards encouraging more & more youth from J&K to come forward to join the Indian Security Forces & also highlighted the vital role played by their parents in motivating their wards to join this noble profession.
At the end, proud parents and relatives piped the soldiers making them ready to join their battalions and to tread the immortal path of glory, living up to the expectations and the best traditions of the Indian Army. As a mark of respect, gratitude & recognition of contribution made by the parents of these young soldiers.
