Jammu, September, 10th : Ms Neeva Jain today concluded 12th Self defence training camp organized by District Police Kathua at G.L. Dogra memorial College Hiranagar. She was chief guest on the occasion SSP Kathua while interacting with the participants reiterated the importance of Self defence techniques for young girls and aware the participants about the legal provisions related to crime against women.
It is pertinent to mention here that this is the 2nd training camp organized at Hiranagar especially to cover the participants from Border Belt of Kathua to take benefits of Self Defence techniques. About 400 students including participants were present in the valediction function.
SSP Kathua was declared as “Patron” of UNIVERSAL MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY JAMMU AND KASHMIR, a Non Political and Non profitable organization for her great initiative to equip youths especially young girls with self defence techniques. The association also distributed a cash reward of Rs 2500/- to four participants namely Rajni Devi, Palak Bhargav, Tara Rani, Rupanjali Dogra for their contribution in all training camps held by Kathua Police.
All the participants were distributed certificate of Participation by SSP Kathua and other officers present on the occasion. The participants were also distributed refreshment arranged by Local Inhabitant Mr Rakesh Kumar, a medical professional.
