Timeline of the major decisions taken by Governor during one month of his rule in Jammu and Kashmir
Jan 8: He sent a letter to both the parties, PDP and BJP in order to know their stands about government reformation in the state.
Jan 9: He released a notification to implement Governor’s rule which was imposed in Jammu and Kashmir with effect from January 8.
Jan 12: He cleared all the cases pending in the Chief Minister’s office since December 2015.
Jan 14: He delegated powers to the administrative secretaries
Jan 15: He ordered Multi-agency security audit of all vital civil and defence installations in J&K
Jan 27: He instructed the time-bound action on relief and rehabilitation of Kashmiri migrants
Jan 28: He asked the administration to come out with a plan of action to hold the urban local bodies and the panchayat elections
Jan 30: He reviewed budget for the fiscal year of 2016-17 and he also delayed all the outstandings on account of the general provident fund withdrawals cleared by the Finance Department. He made a payment of Rs 125 crores in one single day.

Feb 1: He directed completion of Aadhaar and National Population Register enrolment by March 31
Feb 2: He held a meeting with PDP and BJP leaders separately to end the political impasse in the state.
Feb 2: He directed speedy dredging of the Jhelum river.
Feb 4: He appointed two retired IAS officers, Parvez Dewan and Khurshid Ahmed Ganai as his advisors.
Feb 6: He directed finalisation of a scheme for the flood-hit traders and small businesses in 15 days
Feb 7: He wrote to the Defence Minister for enhancing compensation to the people who were affected by the field firing ranges.
