Valley actor Mir Sarwar makes it big in Saif Ali Khan’s Phantom

Srinagar, October 01: Mir Sarwar was born in Pandrethan, a village in the outskirts of Srinagar, Kashmir.  He belongs to a very simple family and is an award winning photographer and National medalist in Kick-boxing, Wushu & Muay Thai. He started acting 15 years ago but what brought him into lime light is his negative role in Bollywood flick ‘Phantom’, directed by Kabir Khan.

In 2000, he started his career in showbiz with a modeling consignment and it took him 15 years to fulfill his dream of working in a bollywood feature film. Besides Phantom, Mir had a minor role in Salman Khan starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and Dil Patang.

Mir has learnt acting through the workshops of National School of Drama and has also done a number of television serials telecasted on local Television Channels. Besides, Mir is a trained Martial Arts Player. He has won won a silver medal in the National Kickboxing Championship in 1997. “I won a gold medal in Muay-Thai in 2003 and in 2005,” he says. But he gave up everything to fulfill his dream of becoming an actor.

Mir is now very happy after rubbing shoulders with Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif in ‘Phantom’. He is getting great compliments for his role in Phantom and looking forward to do meatier roles in Hindi movies and establish himself as a successful Bollywood actor. He said he is getting good offers and he has two-three films in pipeline as well.
