2 teenagers held in Kashmir for appearing in exams in place of others

June 12:Two students were held on Saturday for appearing in place of two other students in the tenth class examination.

The incident took place in South Kashmir District of Shopian.

An official spokesman confirmed the news on Saturday evening saying that the Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, conducted a surprise visit of 10th class examination centre at Mohammadia Institute Shopian.

During the inspection, two students Suhail Ahamd Ganie a resident of Chanapora and Shahzad Yousuf Ganaie a resident of Meemender Shopian were taking examination in place of of Basit Ahamd Ganie, a resident of Chanapora and Saiful Bashir, son of Bashir Ahamd Ganie, resident of Meemender, Shopian.

Both the students have been handed over to the board authorities for further action.

The examination was cancelled by the DC in the above centre.
