SBI waives off penalty for late EMI payment for Nov and Dec


Jammu, December 09: n a very good news for the Home/Car/Personal Loans holders of State Bank of India (SBI), the bank has decided to waive off to its customers for late payment of EMI for the month of November and December.

According to a bank official, ” The bank has provided waiver of processing fee for home loans top up/Gold Loan/Personal Loans (salary loans) /Pension loans. Also, extension will be provided for special soft loans for Car repairs, and salary advance loans for 3 months salary. The bank has also organised doorstep service to make cash easily accessible to the customers by opening cash points through innovative modes viz., Boats, Autorickshaws, Mobile Vans, Mobile ATM, Handheld devices and Business Correspondents.”

Besides, the State Bank of India is also providing Food, Water, Blankets, Medicines and utensils by obtaining from nearby unaffected districts. It has also organised several Health Awareness camps and medical camps, the press note released by the bank said.

It added that the help desks have also been provided at the branches for much speedy settlement of claims for Life/Injury/Property under policies of SBI Life Insurance and SBI General Insurance. The staff members being a responsible ‘Banker to Every Indian’ are working during late hour voluntarily and a number of branches in the affected areas were opened on Sunday to make cash available to the people of Chennai.
