SRINAGAR: 28 students were injured in a mysterious blast in a private school in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
Official sources said that a mysterious blast occurred at a private school in Narbal, Kakapora in Pulwama on Wednesday, when students were getting winter tuition.
They said about a dozen class 10th students were injured in the blast. The injured were immediately taken to a local hospital from where three of them were referred to a hospital in Srinagar.
A Medical officer said, “Three among the injured were referred to Srinagar for specialised treatment,” he said, adding that the students had received injuries mostly in their limbs.
A 15-year-old boy was killed in a mysterious blast in the frontier district of Kupwara on Tuesday afternoon.
Today at about 1430 hours some explosion took place inside the class room of standard 10 of a private school (tuition centre) known as Falai-e-Millat at Narbal in district Pulwama. In this incident reportedly 12 students have sustained injuries. They were rushed to the hospital and stated to be stable.
Police officers have reached at the spot and are ascertaining the nature and circumstances of the blast. Case has been registered and investigation is in progress.
