3 killed, 4 injured as car drops in 300-ft gorge


Jammu, July 5: A police officer told media persons here that three persons were killed and four others were injured when a vehicle they were travelling in went out of driver’s control on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Banihal town in Ramban district.

“The ill-fated vehicle dropped into a 300-foot deep gorge,” the police officer said.

All the injured have been admitted to a sub-district hospital in Banihal town for treatment.


According to unverified sources, the driver of the car was driving rashly in a highly negligent manner when he lost control and the Maruti Omni car rolled down 300 feet resulting in the death of three people instantly.
