3094 works completed, 467122 mandays generated in Budgam district
BUDGAM : To review the pace of developmental activities and achievements registered during the current fiscal, District Development Commissioner Budgam, today convened a meeting of sectoral and district officer here today.
It was given out in the meeting that expenditure of Rs. 20.97 crore was registered under various sectors including rural development, R&B and Health services. Against an available amount of 17.18 crores, an expenditure of 14.36 crores under MG-NREGA has been incurred with an execution of 3094 works in the district generating 467122 man days of work for the people, the meeting was informed.
District Development Commissioner directed the executing departments and agencies to expedite the pace of the development works, especially in wake of the fast approaching winter season. He also stressed for the implementation of all the decisions taken by district development board, in letter and spirit and directed the officers to generate funds for District Red cross society, to meet exigencies at district level and to help the destitute.
Among others, all the sectoral officers and district officers besides concerned engineers were present in the meeting.
