Jammu, September 14: It is evident now that the JK Bank RE Exam is to see a decent amount of competition for each post as nearly 39,000 applicants out of total 48,000 eligible candidates took the test. A total of 51,000 candidates had applied for the online test.
A total of 14 test sessions spread over 5, 6, 12 and 13 September at 163 centers set up across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions saw the 39,000 students taking the test.
With a little over 3000 posts for Relationship Executives, the competition now boils down to 13 candidates competing for each seat. Though this is far below the competition that the SBI exam sees (approx. 600 per post in the PO exam), but the competition here would be stiff still.
The online examination for RE was conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), Mumbai with technical expertise being facilitated by the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
Chairman and CEO Mushtaq Ahmed congratulated the entire team headed by Senior President Abdul Rauf Bhat for satisfactory and successful completion of online exams.
As Quoted in GK, the chairman said, “Let me say that within the purview of our strategic HR requirements, we shall continue to provide direct employment to the best and brilliant among youth of J&K. Simultaneously, we remain committed to creating a business environment in the state that provides dignified employment opportunities to all the youth having the skill-sets coupled with spirit of entrepreneurship.”
Meanwhile, there were reports of a few candidates having to travel extremely long distances as their centres were set up in districts different than their own. Overall, candidates felt satisfied with the kind of arrangements at the exam venues.
