4 beds for 32 villages: deplorable condition of border residents | Jammu
The people of 32 villages are dependent upon the primary health centre with 4 beds in Pargwal area. 32 villages of Pargwal Isle located near border is already on target of Pak rangers. The people living there are forced to leave their respective houses because of the cross firing from past two days.
Because of the ignorance of the state government, the people of those 32 villages have to go to Akhnoor or Jammu for their treatments. The doctors are available in PHC but still they have bear the rudeness of the villagers as there is a lack of infrastructure.
Nitin Sharma, Vijay Sharma and other people from the village told that the government had opened the PHC in the village but the Ultrasound machines and x-ray machines are still not available. They told that x-ray machine is out of order, so they always have to move to Akhnoor or Jammu for availing the ultrasound and x-ray services.
The people residing there also told that the area is very close to border, so they have to face problems. Every second day, pak breaks ceasefire. If any of the resident gets injured, even first aid is not properly done here. The people have requested govt to upgrade the PHC to CHC and all the treatment facilities should be made available to them.
