With a view to enhance the teaching abilities of teachers of classes I to VIII, a six-day Training Programme of Master Trainers of Jammu Division under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) concluded today in Jammu.
The training programme was inaugurated by the State Project Director, SSA, J&K Saugat Biswas at State Institute of Education Jammu on August 2nd.
Mr Biswas informed that the training program was developed in collaboration with Simple Education Foundation (SEF) a New Delhi based organization.
40 teachers selected from among the best teachers of Jammu division through a process of panel interview were imparted the intensive training during the programme
“The focus of the in-service training for over 84000 teachers is aimed at improving their pedagogical skills and expose them to modern trends of classroom management so that the quality of classroom transaction between the teacher and children is enhanced “he informed .
It was further given out that the Master Trainers who will be selected on the basis of their performance during the training shall visit district to district and further train Resource Persons at district level. The trained Resource Persons in turn will train the teachers at zonal level. The trainings at the district level is due to commence 10th August onwards.
