Abandoned police post set ablaze in Bandipora

April 16: An empty police post in Naidhkhai area of north Kashmir’s was set ablazed by Angry protesters today at Bandipora district.

Witnesses said five civilian killings in Kupwara was the reason behind the protest. After staging protests, the youths further set on fire an abandoned police post.

Additional Superintendent of Police Bandipora Mohammad Yusuf Choudhary said that the post was empty when it was set ablaze. He said that the post was used as a tuition centre by the police.

Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed across the district and minor stone pelting in Papchan and Ajar areas of the district.
