ACCIDENTAL FIRE IN LANGAR AT BALTAL KILLS FOUR AND INJURES TWO PERSONS: SHRI AMARNATHJI SHRINE BOARD ANNOUNCES EX-GRAIA RELIEF
SRINAGAR: : Four persons identified as Sandeep, son of Tarsem; Gurdeep Singh, son of Baldev; Babu Singh; and Yadvinder Singh, son of Najjar Singh, lost their lives due to an accidental fire in Domel (near Baltal Camp) in the kitchen of the Shri Shiv Shakti Sewa Mandal, Bhandara which comes from Budhlada in Punjab, in the wee hours to-day. The first two persons are from Mansa, and the other two are from Maur Mandi in Bhatinda. Two persons, Manjeet Singh, son of Buta Singh, and Jasvir Singh, son of Bhola Singh, both residents of Bhatinda, were injured in this accident.
On receiving the information about the accident, the Governor, Shri N.N. Vohra, who is also the Chairman of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, announced an ex-gratia relief of Rs.1.00 lakh in favour of the next-of-kin of the deceased. The Chairman also directed that all expenditures incurred on the transportation of the dead bodies to the native places of the deceased on their cremation would be borne by the Board. In so far as those who are injured, all of them will be provided medical treatment by the Board.
The Chairman and the CEO, Mr. Rakesh K. Gupta, have conveyed their heartfelt sympathy to the families of the persons who lost their lives in this morning’s tragic accident.
