Active Covid cases dip to 36 in Doda with 16 fresh recoveries

DODA, AUGUST 10: The number of active Covid-19 cases in Doda district has plummeted to 36 with 16 more recoveries today.

With these fresh recoveries, the number of total covid patients recovered in the district has touched to 277.

The patients, hailing from different areas of the district, were kept under medical observation at GMC Doda and various designated Covid Care Centres and they were discharged today after their tests were repeatedly found negative for the virus.

The district has also recorded huge improvement in recovery rate and it has gone up to 88% approximately in the last 9 days.

It was informed that the recovered persons were discharged under the supervision of medical authorities and the persons were directed to stay in home quarantine for some time as per the set SOP and also as a precautionary measure.

Meanwhile, 4 persons have been reported positive today, among them 1 was having travel history outside J&K and 3 others who were tested positive were sampled randomly.

The District Administration and Health Department are working relentlessly in the District to contain the spread of COVID-19 under the supervision of DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode. The people are being advised not to panic and practice social distancing to curb and prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
