The Administrative Council has approved the construction of the District Court Complex at Rs 29.73 crore and the creation of 24 posts for Trauma Hospital Bijbihara. The Council also approved the result of one post of Professor in Blood Bank of Medical College, Srinagar. With this, the deficiency that the National Medical Mission had removed in the department will be filled. Now DNB course will be started in the department. This approval was given in a meeting chaired by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday.
Earlier two new courts were created, Additional District and Sessions Judge and Munsif. Both are temporarily running in the present complex. With the formation of the new District Court Complex, the new office will get space. The Trauma Hospital Bijbihara Anantnag of the Health and Medical Education Department was constructed under a central plan. This included expanding facilities for trauma patients along the national highways. Its purpose was also that no trauma patient should have to travel more than fifty kilometres. Now Trauma Hospital can recruit 24 posts. These posts include Surgeon, Physician, Anesthesia Specialist, Ortho Surgeon, Radiologist, Medical Officer and Paramedical Staff and Technician.
At the same time, this meeting of the Administrative Council, taking an important decision, also handed over 667 kanals of land to the Airport Authority to construct the new terminal of Jammu Airport. With the construction of this new terminal, the expansion of Jammu airport will be rapid, and the number of aircraft coming here will also increase. With the increasing number of aircraft, Jammu and Kashmir’s employment opportunities will also increase, along with economic benefits. At present, twenty planes move daily at Jammu Airport, in which about three thousand passengers reach Jammu.
