At just 16 years of age, Afghanistan spinner Mujeeb Zadran has become the youngest player in ODI history to claim a five-wicket haul. Zadran ended a match against Zimbabwe with figures of 5/50.

Pakistani fast bowler Waqar Younis was previously the youngest player to claim a five-wicket haul when he took 6/26 against Sri Lanka in 1990 aged 18 years and 164 days.

At 16 years and 325 days, Zadran has comfortably beat Younis’ 28-year record with comparisons already being made to fellow countryman and talented bowler Rashid Khan.
