After Burhan’s death, Geelani exhorts youth to follow militancy
Srinagar, July 10: Hardline separatist leader, Syed Ali Shah Geelani released a video right after confirmation of Burhan Muzaffar Wani’s encounter came in. Geelani in this video first mourns the death of Burhan Wani and two other militants that were neutralised on Friday evening and then goes on to use the militant’s death to motivate the youth of Kashmir to follow his path.
What is peculiar to note here, is that Geelani uses the name of God to motivate youth in joining a path that leads only to death. Going by the statistical records of the past, the average life of a militant is just seven years and to motivate young boys to follow that path is plain monstrous.
It is because of hardliners such as Geelani, that thousands of young Kashmiri boys have destroyed their lives. Sadly, his following is such that any action against him in Kashmir can have wide ranging repercussions.
