After Hafiz Sayeed’s presence on Jammu border Indian forces put on high alert

The security forces on the international border and LoC in Jammu and Kashmir have raised high alert after Lashkar founder and top India foe Hafiz Sayeed was spotted in several areas along the border. Sources said Sayeed was spotted at six to seven areas along the border in Jammu region which has lead to speculation that Pakistan forces could push terror operatives from across the border.

The suspicion is based on the fact that whenever Sayeed has been spotted on the border there have been successive attempts by terrorists to cross the border, and increase in firing by Pak Rangers and the army which supports the infiltration in a big way.

Sayeed, sources revealed, has been spotted in Samba, Arnia, and RS Pura sectors and is interacting with LeT cadre stationed there and waiting to enter Indian side to spread terror. Complementing his efforts is the Pak army which has shifted civilian population from some villages in Samba and Arnia sector to prepare for a major assault on the Indian side. The villagers have been removed to ensure that Pakistani lives are not lost in Indian retaliation.

In view of the developing situation, the intelligence agencies have alerted the security forces to get ready for the Pak onslaught. Officials in Pakistan have been announcing from mosques for residents to avoid going to border fields. At least seven villages from across Arnia have been vacated by the Pak authorities to prevent retaliation from India.

Last Thursday, Pakistan had heavily shelled Arnia villages killing three people. Sayeed’s presence on border signals major aggression from the Pak side, sources said. Pakistan has shifted residents from Umrawali, Kunjpur, Suragpur, Chaprar, Nandpur, Putwal, Chumia and Rumm across Arnia which is a danger signal, they added.
