After PDP hints at acceptance for BJP, Mehbooba says she’s not in a hurry

Jammu, January 18: Even after weeks of no government in the state, People’s Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti said that she was not in hurry to make a decision.

Mehbooba met her party members on Sunday. In five-hour-long deliberations, most of the senior members advised her that she should continue with the alliance with already stitched BJP by her father Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. However, Mehbooba said that there is no hurry and she will take no decision in haste.

She said that the party leaders have given her a mandate to take a final call and she will take her time.

This was the first time that she heard out her party leaders who all are former ministers and shared a great rapport with her father.

However, she commented that her father, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had taken a bold decision by forming a coalition government and she is not her father who had a great shock-absorbing capacity. These comments clearly depict that she wants to keep all options open.
