Jammu, February 12: A day after Governor NN Vohra asked political appointees to put down their papers immediately, Advocate General Jammu and Kashmir and several other Additional and Deputy Advocate Generals submitted their resignation on Friday.
Official sources said that Advocate General J&K Jahangir Iqbal Ganaie tendered his resignation as soon as he reached his office in Jammu.
Ganaie was appointed Advocate General last year by PDP-BJP coalition government.
However, the sources added that several additional and deputy advocate generals are yet to submit their resignations.
They might their terminated if they fail to submit resignations.
