AIDS Awareness held at village Jagati by students of GCW PARADE JAMMU



An intervention programme on HIV/AIDS was organized  by Red Ribbon Club, Govt. College for Women Parade, Jammu, in collaboration with J&K State Aids Prevention & Control Society, at village Jagti to educate the women and adolescent girls with correct, concise and adequate information to heighten their level of awareness about HIV/AIDS and related issues. The programme was also designed to eliminate myths and misconceptions regarding Reproductive Health. Ms.Tanuja Sharma, the resource person created awareness using different BCC Material made by the students of P.G Department of Home- Science (CRM&E). Principal, Dr. Hemla Aggrawal appreciated the efforts of the students and said that such programmes  promote positive behaviors in youth, by building skills and competencies to maximize their health, avoid risk behaviors and also reduce HIV/AIDS stigma.
