AIIMS, IIT, IIM will be in Jammu very soon: Dy. CM
Jammu, August 3: While addressing the audience in various public meetings at different villages of District Kathua, Deputy CM of the state assured that a full fledged AIIMS hospital will be constructed in Jammu comprising of all the most modern technologies. Not just AIIMS but very soon Jammu will have its own IIT and IIM.
Dy. CM also guaranteed the public that discrimination with Jammu that is going on from past 67 years will soon end as the centre government has announced separate AIIMS Hospital for both the regions of the Jammu but some people are still fooling general public with wrong information.
Dr. Nirmal Singh also informed public that in 2003, the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajepayee have announced AIIMS Hospital for Jammu and the health minister of that time Sushma Swaraj laid the foundation stone of the hospital which is still lying in the Chest Disease Hospital in Jammu but then in 2007, the Congress-National Conference Coalition government in state changed the name of hospital from AIIMS to Super Specialty. And now when again BJP is a ruling party in Centre as well as in the state, the promise of providing best health care to Jammuites (AIIMS) has been fulfilled but the opposition has connected the protest with politics and befooling the public to continue the protest.
Complementing the development strategies of Centre and State Government, he added that Central government will soon sanction an amount of 50,000 Crores or more for the development of all three regions of the state. Not Just this but eight new national highways has also been announced for the state in which two highways will be constructed in Kashmir, two in Ladakh and the rest four in Jammu.
Although according to Dy. CM, AIIMS has been announced to Jammu but AIIMS Coordination Committee has decided to extend the protest for next 72 hours as there is no written details provided regarding the construction of hospital in Jammu.
