Srinagar, April 8: Awami Itihaad Party today registered a complaint in police station Rajbagh seeking lodging of FIR against various office bearers of Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries including their president Rakesh Gupta for their open threats to murder Ruhangi Refugees. Party Spokesman Inam-un-Nabi today submitted the complaint before SHO Rajbagh.
The complaint seeks action as warranted under Criminal Law against JCCI for spreading terror and threatening peace of Jammu province. Meanwhile party Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed while addressing various meetings in Handwara has condemned the threat given by JCCI. Er. Rasheed said “The harsh language and death threats given by JCCI office bearers to Rohangi Muslims is yet again a strong evidence to believe that the state administration has nothing in its control and law of the land is sub servant to these communal and radical forces.
State Govt. must take immediate concrete measures to protect the Rohangi refugees as all international laws provide them few basic rights and it is duty of the Govt. to ensure that their life and property is protected till atmosphere turns conducive for them to go back to their ancestral places. Govt. must book the office bearers of JCCI for the serious offenses they have committed by crossing the redline, who were otherwise supposed to be respectable and non communal law abiding citizens”.
Er. Rasheed added that the threat is not only a matter of concern viz-a-viz Rohangi Muslims but it is a deep conspiracy to create communal tension in Jammu province with well crafted goal.
He warned Govt. of dire consequences if the various communal forces including office bearers of JCCI are not arrested and taken to task. Er. Rasheed accused that harassing Rohangi refugees are being harassed for only being Muslims.
He said that if non state subjects matter so much to these communal forces why should not they demand expulsion of WP refugees and those thousands living in temporary shelters in Kashmir during springs and summers every year and also those thousands of families illegally settled in Jammu.
