Chandigarh, August 21: Due to the curfew and protests in Kashmir, various airlines have reduced the fare for Srinagar Flights. One airliner has stopped the services till August 31 whereas another has reduced the one-way airfare to Rs 1,600.
SpiceJet for instance has cancelled all its Srinagar bound flights till August 31. The SpiceJet flight to Srinagar goes at 2:15 pm. A manager with SpiceJet clarified that the flight has been cancelled owing to the fact that it is off season for them and it would be resumed in September.
Meanwhile, a prominent travel website shows the fare of Indigo flights to Srinagar till 22 August for Rs 2,000 and the fare after on August 26 is Rs 1,639. Rs 10,000 is a common airfare for one day bookings to Srinagar from Chandigarh and much higher during peak season.
