Bharti Airtel has introduced a new prepaid recharge for its subscribers offering 3GB of data per day for nearly three months. The Rs. 558 prepaid recharge offers unlimited calls, 100 SMS per day for 82 days. Airtel’s new plan looks to take on similar plans from competitors- Vodafone, Reliance Jio.
Airtel Rs. 558 prepaid recharge includes 3GB of data per day, unlimited local/STD/national roaming calls and 100 local/STD SMS per day. The validity of the above recharge is for 82 days. This essentially turns out to 246GB of data for the said validity period. The company has also revised its Rs. 399 plan that now offers 2.4 GB data per day for 70 days from the 1.4GB data it was offering earlier.
In comparison, Vodafone has an Rs. 511 and Rs. 569 prepaid recharge plans. The Rs. 569 plan includes 3GB of 4G data per day for 84 days along with unlimited local and STD calls, 100 SMS per day. The Rs. 511 plan offers 2GB of 4G data per day for 84 days, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day.
Reliance Jio also has two competing prepaid recharge plans. The Rs. 509 recharge offers 4GB of data per day for 28 days, unlimited calls, SMS. The Rs. 498 plan offers 2GB of 4G data per day for 91 days, unlimited calls, SMS.
Meanwhile, Airtel has introduced ‘Airtel Home’ which allows its customers to bundle their multiple Airtel connections such as broadband, postpaid, digital TV into a single account. The digital quad-play platform is designed to simplify customer experience for households that use multiple Airtel services.
