Airtel has launched Rs. 97 prepaid recharge that includes talk time, data, SMS and validity all packed into the offering. Airtel Rs. 97 recharge is part of the combo prepaid recharge packs (Rs. 35, Rs. 65 and Rs. 95) that Airtel launched earlier. The combo prepaid recharge packs are designed to offer benefits of voice calls, data and validity all in one pack instead of having the customer recharge multiple times. Airtel combo recharge packs take on a similar offering from Reliance Jio.
Airtel Rs. 97 prepaid recharge offers 1.5GB of high-speed data. It comes with 350 minutes of local, STD and national roaming calls. The pack includes 200 local and STD SMS and the validity is for 28 days. In comparison, Reliance Jio Rs. 98 plan comes with 2GB of 4G data for 98 days, unlimited local calls, 300 SMS and a complimentary subscription to Jio Apps. Comparing both the offering, Reliance Jio plan offers unlimited calls while Airtel’s prepaid pack caps calls to 350 minutes.
Airtel Rs. 35, Rs. 65 and Rs. 95 combo prepaid recharge packs will be launched in Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh West and will be further rolled-out in other parts of the country over the next few weeks. Customers can visit airtel.in/prepaid-recharge for more information. The company further added that the new combo packs will complement Airtel’s unlimited bundled recharge packs that offer unlimited calling, free national roaming, SMS and data benefits.
The telecom operator earlier stated that the packs have been designed on the basis of research and feedback from customers who highlighted the requirement for talk time, data, tariff and validity built into one single pack instead of the need to do separate recharges.
