Jammu, December 22: The father of the victim of infamous Akhnoor Sex Scandal has filed a petition before the High Court J&K asking for the transfer of case to Central Beareu of Investigation (CBI) or to Crime Branch.
In response to the petition, the bench of Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir of J&K High Court had issued issued notice to DGP & Ors which were accepted AAG WS Nargal and directed AAG to produce the SHO Akhnoor along with Case Dairy on December 30 and also directed AAG to file reply.
Adv Deepika Singh Rajawat, who is appearing for the petitioners submitted during the hearing that thwe police has adopted a casual behavior while investigating in the case that involves rape of 15 years old minor girl by 50 different people. She said that the police kept the girl into illegal detention for almost 10 days, beaten her and forced her to give wrong statement into the court.
The Police is adopting delay tactics in investigating the matter and arresting the accused who are some influential people of Akhnoor town, alleges the advocate.
Counsel for petitioner further submitted that it is surprisingly the victim was medically examined after five days from the statement was recorded.
