Akhnoor Sex Scandal: Named Congress leader roaming free
Jammu, December 21: As far as police is concerned, no special efforts are being made to nab the absconding accused people involved in the infamous Akhnoor Sex Scandal despite so many claims from their senior officers.
Besides other influential people who are politicos and businessmen, it was discovered that there is also the involvement of a state government employee, who played the role of pimp by pushing the minor girl (victim) into the flesh trade but he is now out of sight.
The involvement of this government employee was discovered after the scrutiny of the Call Detail Records (CDR) of the victim’s cellphone. It was found out that the man has made the girl, a huge number of phone calls but despite that, the police has failed to question this man.
Pertinently, the father of victim has filed a plea into the Jammu and Kashmir High Court and has said that he is dissatisfied by the police’s investigation into the case. “The concerned police is not following the procedure and protecting the accused people,” the father alleged.
He further added that it’s been 11 days since the police arrested four people for being involved into the matter and no arrests have been made after that. The police claimed of conducting a number of raids but a group of accused is still absconding.
The father of victim girl, Surinder Kumar r/o Akhnoor had lodged a complaint on December 2nd that his minor girl had allegedly been abducted by one Abhi of Pathankot on November 12, 2015.
The police registered a case under FIR No 221/2015 under section 363 of RPC, a team of Akhnoor Police was constituted to trace out the girl who went missing. Later, she was recovered from the possession of Gulshan Kumar alias Abhi, son of Tarseem Lal of Dhangu Road, Old Sabzi Mandi, Pathankot.
During investigation, the girl disclosed that she was being dragged into flesh trade several other people including some businessmen of Akhnoor. The police arrested four people on December 09 but other than that, influential businessmen and a Congress leader who were also named by the victim before the Municipal Judge are still roaming free.
