SRINAGAR, AUGUST 9: Under scoring the need to preserve heritage of state Minister for Education Mr. Naeem Akhtar Sunday assured full support of present Government to restore pristine of glory of all heritage sites.
The Minister was addressing a Chief Guest at the interactive restoration conservation, preservation and promotion of built and culture heritage through Tourism at SKICC today.
A delegation from Indian Heritage Hotel Association led by president IHHA, Mr. H. H. Maharja Gaj Sing Ji of Jodhpur was also present on the occasion.
The Minister was accompanied by Commissioner/ Secretary Tourism Mr. Shailender Kumar, MD JKTDC and Director Tourism Mr. Farooq Ahmed Shah, Member National Monuments Authority, Ministry of Culture Govt. Of India, Mr. Saleem Beigh and other dignities of IHHA were also present on the occasion.
Mr. Naeem Akhtar said that Jammu and Kashmir has a glittering part and has its own history, beliefs, customs, values and expressions adding that no stone will left unturned in preserving the culture heritage of the state.
The Minister called upon all stakeholders especially Tourism department and its sister organisation to came forward and do their bit in restoration and preservation and heritage of state.
The Minister said all monuments, townships archaeological remains, building, shrines etc are being taken care of so that our heritage is preserved for future generation.
