Jammu November 26: The Dewan Devi School in Shakti Nagar has been in news over the last two days after a class XI commerce student, Aman Sharma, from the school committed suicide. In the initial investigation, it was found out that the Principal had asked Aman to call his mother after a girl that he had proposed to had raised the issue to her teachers.

The heat surrounding the story has refused to die down as Dewan Devi School started off to a terrible start today. Earlier in the day today, unknown miscreants entered the premises of the higher secondary and broke glasses of doors and windows and also smashed the furniture.
As a result, the school had to be shut down and the authorities had to call for an emergency parent teachers meet. The police has ascertained that the miscreants who led the rampage were not the students of the school. SHO Bakshi Nagar told U4UVoice, “The police has assured security to re-start the classes such that the studies of the students does not get affected. Security personnel were stationed around the school premises to contain any possible violence.”
In the meeting, the authorities along with parents of the students have agreed to resume the classes. The police is investigating the matter.
