Amarnath Yatra resumes from Jammu
Jammu, 16 July: Authorities in the administration have decided to allow for the movement of pilgrims stranded in the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir towards the valley to visit the Holy Shrine of Amarnath.

At the time of reporting, the buses filled with excited pilgrims were already on the move and official figures of the total Pilgrims sent from Jammu would come shortly.
Curfew in valley has paralysed life for eight days now and there has been a clampdown on the local cable-tv network as a measure to control the spread of misinformation through some channels. Copies of some local newspapers were also seized earlier today and the printing press offices of these newspapers were also sealed.
