Amarnath Yatris in zeal to begin the 59 day holy trip; Administration assures a trouble free Yatra

A great enthusiasm was observed among the devotees at Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar Jammu who have come from different parts of the country in groups to pay obeisance at the holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnath Ji in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. This year about 1.5 lakh devotees have registered so far for the annual pilgrimage. Yatri Niwas

Proper Security arrangements have been put in place and the devotees have already arrived at the Yatri Niwas after proper frisking by the security personnel deployed there. According to sources, adequate arrangements have been made by the Government for the convenience of the devotees. ATMs have been installed within the Yatri Niwas Campus and a Travel Centre SRTC has also been established within the Campus where the devotees can easily make their bookings for the buses. A Police Control Room and a primary health centre with sufficient health facilities have also been established for the pilgrims.The pilgrims will also have the privilege of a Tourist Information Centre within the Campus.

Among the 1.5 lakh pilgrims registered for the Yatra , many are first time visitors too. While sharing their views with U4U Voice, Manjul Tiwari from Ghaziabad Uttar Pradesh said that he had always wanted to come and pay obeisance and this is the first time that he had come and is more than excited to begin the holy Yatra.

Ram Shankar, another devotee from Ghaziabad Uttar Pradesh said that he had been coming to perform darshan of Annual pilgrimage of Shri Amarnathji Shrine since 2009 regularly and this time he is accompanying  a group of 14 friends. He also thanked the Government that adequate arrangements were put in place for the convenience of the pilgrims.Shanti Awashti


Shanti Awashti (60) years and Chander Awasthi (65) years, a couple from Hardoi UP said that they too have come for Darshan for the first time and are all set to commence their Yatra.

A bhandara was also arranged jointly by Shri Shiv Shakti Vaishno Sewa Mandal (Delhi) and Shiv Sena (B) to distribute prasad among the devotees within the campus of Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar.
