Jammu, July 20 : After the death of the Hizb commander, the instability in Kashmir accelerated unprecedentedly. As a result, the Amarnath Yatra got suspended for a few days and curfew was imposed in the Valley from the 9th of July.

Amid all this mishap, many yatris got stuck in Kashmir. They have been trying ever since to come back to Jammu. Many of them came back from the base camp in Pahalgam without visiting the holy Cave.
Many of the yatris are still in various parts of Kashmir and wish to return without performing the Holy Darshan.
From Uttar Pradesh’s Muradabad district, a group of 21 pilgrims left for Pahalgam from Jammu on the 7th of July. On 8th evening, they reached the base camp in Pahalgam and that is when the news of the Militant’s death stormed the entire valley. This group of pilgrims luckily found a room in one of the hotel’s in the area and ever since that day, they waited for the circumstances to improve.
After a brief while they got the news that the Holy Shiva Lingam in the Cave had receded. This further disheartened them and they decided to head home without performing darshan. The group somehow contacted the Army in the area and finally late in the evening on the 16th of July, they left Pahalgam and the Hotel room they had been stuck in for nine days. Their bus was initially attacked by the protesters in Pahalgam.
