Amarnathji Shrine Board asks Deputy Commissioners for prompt reporting of all incidents in which Yatris have been involved in accidents within J&K.

(Photo: Kamran Raashid Bhat/IANS) SRINAGAR: Since Yatra 2010, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board has been providing an insurance cover of one lakh rupees against accidental death to every registered Yatri, from the date of the pilgrim’s entry into the J&K State and upto the date of his/ her exit.
CEO, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, informed that for Yatra 2014, Shrine Board has procured Group Accidental Insurance cover of Rs. one lakh per Yatri, including those who travel by helicopter. In order to expeditiously process the Insurance cases, the CEO has once again asked all the Deputy Commissioners to immediately furnish details of the registered Yatris who lose their lives on account of accidents, natural or man made, within their jurisdictions, to enable the Shrine Board to promptly process their insurance cases.
