Senior Congress leader Ambika Soni has reacted on the row between UGC and DU. She said that the row has started because of the new govt. at the centre. She held that whenever new govt. is in place it starts fiddling with the future of youth of nation in one way or the other. She suggested that if at all any change has to be done it should be done from the next academic year so that the students are not affected.
The UGC Directive to DU colleges to scrap the four-year undergraduate programme and continue undergraduate admissions for 2014-15 in the three-year format has injected a new lease of hope into a movement more than one-and-a-half years old.
