Srinagar March 3: The three militants who were killed by the security forces in the Dadsara village of South Kashmir’s Tral included a class 10 topper Ishaq Parray.
Ishaq Parray was aged 20, and had been a meritorious student before he took up the path of Hizbul Mujahideen, a banned organization which off late has been attracting many young minds who have done well academically. before he joined the banned organisation, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, in March 2015. Parray had cleared his class 10 exams in 2011 and scored a staggering 98.4 percent marks securing the ninth position in the Kashmir zone. It was his performance in academics which earned him the sobriquet of ‘Newton’.
‘Newton’, once an exceptional student, was killed in the late night encounter launched after a search operation on Wednesday, following a tip off about presence of militants in the Tral area. Dadsara village was subsequently cordoned off, even as protests erupted in the village.
In addition to Parray, the two others killed belonged to A+ and A category militants of the banned outfit.
