Amusement park proposal may be cleared soon
Jammu, September 21: MLA Kathua Rajiv Jasrotia met Union Minister of State (independent charge) Dr JItendra Singh at his office in New Delhi on Tuesday and submitted to him a Rs 20 crore Amusement Park proposal with full details.
The proposal titled “Entertainment Zone” at Kathua will be made on the model of Public Private Partnership (PPP). The park will spread over 15 acres with a capacity of approximately 3000 people.
The park will not only cater to Kathua region but also to Jammu and Pathankot, and will possibly be the first of its kind located north of Jalandhar city.
Jasrotia also informed that land for park is selected by the local residents of Kathua. Dr Jitendra Singh appreciated the diligent documentation work for the proposal done by Rajiv Jasrotia and assured him that he would work will be started soon.
Besides, Dr Singh also mentioned that the work on the proposed centrally funded Medical College, the centrally funded Engineering College which is to come up under “Rashtriya Uchha Shiksha Yojana” , Keediyan-Gadhiyal bridge funded by Union Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Atal Setu bridge funded by Union Ministry of Defence and Juthana bridge funded from Central Road , the proposed Bio-tech Park by Union Ministry of Science & Technology (which will be the first of its kind in north of Delhi ) and the Seed Processing Unit recently approved by the Union Ministry of Agriculture will start soon.
All these projects, Dr Jitendra Singh said, when accomplished, will prove to be game-changers and source of huge revenue and employment generation.
Rajiv Jasrotia thanked Dr Jitendra Singh for his support and constant follow-up with various Central Ministries. He also requested that the State Government may be persuaded to cooperate in carrying forward the project for upgradation of road from Mah to Ghati via Maroli and other villages which is estimated to cost approximately Rs 87.24 crore and which will revolutionize the connectivity and accessibility in the area.
