Srinagar, January 11: “Girls outshine boy in Class Xth annual board examination.”
Well, this will not be this year’s headline since the trend has been reversed with a boy topping this year’s class Xth annual examination of winter division. For many years the toppers were girls.
The result was declared by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Sunday evening and a student of Radiant Public School, Anantnag and resident of South Kashmir’s Botengoo village, Tabish Manzoor topped the exam by securing 498 marks out of 500.
However, the second and third positions were secured by girl students named Aneesa Haleen of Mallinsion and Hiba Intikhab of Shah-e-Hamdan Memorial School, Shopian. Both secured 491 and 490 marks out of 500, respectively.
