Another attack on Police constable

In yet another attack targeting police in Jammu, a group of unidentified persons beat up and injured a police constable posted at the residence of a senior police officer.
Last night, some miscreants came on two three vehicles without registration numbers and attacked the constable who was on guard duty at the residence of Superintendent of Police (Operations), Jammu in Trikuta Nagar and beat him up with sticks, told a Police Officer.

The constable was severely injured and had to be hospitalized. As per sources, the miscreants were masked and the constable couldn’t see their faces. A case has been registered and investigations have been initiated to identify and nab the culprits, told the police officer.

It is to be noted that this is the fourth attack on police in Jammu during the last few days.

Some miscreants had stabbed Sub Inspector Arun Sharma in the recent clashes between the Police and a Sikh group. On Friday, another constable Joginder Pal was stabbed during the protest and his AK rifle was snatched.
Another cop was also injured in such an incident in Ranibagh area on Thursday.
