Another gang war in Jammu, Crime on rise


Jammu, Sept 17: Two brothers were severely  injured when they were attacked by another group with sharp weapons on the basis of old rivalry in Miran Sahib on Friday.

The brothers have been identified as Mushtaq Khan and Nadeem Khan whereas the attackers have been identified as Pinku and others.

According to police, the two brothers were standing by the roadside and were attacked with sharp edged weapons by their rival group. During the clash one of the brothers fired with his revolver which further instigated the other group. They were cut and thrashed until they lost their consciousness.

The injured brothers were immediately taken to District Hospital R S Pura and later to Government Medical College (GMC).

There had been clashes among the two groups earlier as well. One of the brothers Nadeem is involved in various cases of animal trafficking and was recently in jail for the same.

“A case has been registered against the attackers who are currently absconding. As far as the two brothers are concerned, their condition is critical, “said the Miran Sahib Police.
