HIDOUT HIDPUTT

A cache of arms, ammunition and explosives was recovered from a hideout in the area of Malgot in Kishtwar district by a joint operation undertaken by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion and Jammu Kashmir Police on 11 October 2014.
The operation was launched based on a tip-off of a militant hideout in the area Malgot, based on which, a massive search operation was launched in conjunction with Jammu Kashmir Police personnel for over three days. After a sustained search, using all tracking equipment, Security Forces recovered One 51/52mm Mortar, One 7.62mm Self Loading Rifle, Two Pakistan origin Pistols, One Hand Held Kenwood Radio Set, 415 Rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, 12 Rounds of 0.380mm ammunition, Six Mortar Bombs, 12 UBGL Grenades, Ten Hand Grenades, Three 7.62mm Rifle magazines and two pistol magazines.
The recovery of this hideout is a major blow to terrorist tanzeems and once again has displayed total domination by the Indian Army and security forces in the hinterland of Kishtwar.
