ARMY ORGANISES VETERANS RALLY AT KARGIL
Veterans rally was organised by the Indian Army at Kargil, today. Around 200 Veterans and 10 Veer Naaries attended the event. Senior Army Officers and civil dignitaries participated in the function. Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC Shri Asgar Ali Karbalaie was the chief guest. Veterans Rally was organised to create awareness among the Veterans, Veer Naaries and Widows and to disseminate information regarding new policies & initiatives, redress the grievances and to provide expert medical care to them.
Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer, representative of Pension Establishment and Record Offices attended the said rally to provide on the spot solutions to the problems faced by Veterans and to note down their grievances. Official of Banks like SBI & HDFC attended the rally to provide financial & investment tips to Veterans. A total of 13 assistance and awareness stalls were set up.
On the occasion, a Medical Camp for the Veterans, Veer Naaries & Widows was organised in which doctors & specialists from Army & Civil Hospital took part. Specialist doctors like Surgeon, Medical Specialist, Orthopedic, Ophthalmologist and Gynecologist attended to the medical requirement of Veterans, Veer Naaries and Widows. Essential medicines were distributed free of cost to Veterans.
Shri Asgar Ali Karbalaie, Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC on this occasion felicitated the Veer Naaries, Veterans awardees and Veterans. Chief Executive Councilor extolled the sacrifices made by the Veterans, husband/sons of Veer Naaries.
