Army organizes ‘Hunar se Rozgar’ for Chenab valley youth


Jammu: 23 Nov 2015: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under Delta Force undertook a Mega Drive for Youth Empowerment through job oriented courses in collaboration with Food Craft Institute, Jammu.  Through this project,  job oriented courses on the spheres of  ‘Food Production, Bakery and Patisserie, Food and Beverage Services and Housekeeping’ will be organised at  Food Craft Institute, Jammu under its scheme ‘HUNAR SE ROZGAR’. The second batch course of the drive has commenced at Food Craft Institute, Jammu, today with 24 candidates.

This skill development initiative was undertaken by the Delta Force to empower the unemployed uneducated youth of the entire Chenab Valley by imparting job oriented training so as to earn their livelihood.   Army through the conceived project has found suitable unemployed youth, both boys and girls, from the socially and economically backward strata of the society and will provide them free training on various courses at Food Craft Institute, Jammu.  The Institute  is an autonomous society sponsored by the State Government  of Jammu and Kashmir with an objective to provide quality education in the key operational areas of Hotels and Hospitality industry and to empower the youth to succeed in today’s  dynamic world by integrating technical knowledge,  professional skill and career focused training. The Food Craft Institute, Jammu and the Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhaderwah jointly will also facilitate placement interviews by various renowned hotels across Jammu and Kashmir including Leh and even out of the state for the candidates.

The opening ceremony at Food Craft Institute, Jammu was inaugurated by Mr Jyoti Bhatti, the Princila, Food Corporation of India, Jammu in presence of Mr Rajinder Singh, Mr Dheeraj Sharma and Mr P Anayat Ullah Bhat, assistant lectures of Food Corporation of India. During the function, many candidates remarked that, this ‘HUNAR SE ROZGAR’ course is a golden opportunity for the unemployed youth to find out a livelihood in the future.
