ARMY ORGANIZES MEDICAL CAMP FOR VETERANS IN NAUSHERA
Jammu : Under the aegis of Naushera Brigade, Rumlidhara Battalion of Indian Army organized a Medical Outreach Campaign for the veterans and their dependants at Naushera Brigade from 20 – 21 February 2015 which was inaugurated by Brigadier Satinder Singh, Deputy General Officer Commanding, Ace of Spades Division.
The main objective of the Medical camp was to extend the medical facilities at the doorstep and also to carry out medical checkup of the veterans residing in remote and far flung villages nearby Line of Control in Naushera.
A total of 310 Veterans including 110 females and 45 children were treated in the camp. Complete check up of Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Cardiac Illnesses, Cervical /Breast Cancer, Oral Cancer, Obesity, Anaemia, common Eye & ENT Diseases, Dental Health and ECG were carried out. After screening, a few veterans were referred to Army General Hospital in Rajouri & Jammu for further treatment.
A team of doctors including Medical Specialist, Surgeon, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Eye & ENT Specialist, Gynaecologist, Dental Surgeon, Medical Officers and Nursing Officers carried out the medical checkup of the Veterans.
