Army Rescued civilian Vehicles in South Kashmir During Heavy Snowfall
SRINAGAR, Jan 19: Army rescued around 40-50 civil vehicles stuck on the Larikpura – Doru area in South Kashmir, due to heavy snowfall on Tuesday evening.
It has been snowing heavily since last two days with almost 2-3 ft of snow deposited on the road which led to such a chaos. On the civil administration request the Army Camp based at Larkipura showed quick response and reached the location in no time to find a heavy jam of traffic with a few vehicles even toppled due to skidding on the snow. The rescue team used basic tools to clear the snow and a recovery vehicle.
After hectic efforts by the rescue team the Larikpura – Doru Road was opened for convey of stranded vehicles.
Meanwhile locals appreciated army’s timely response.
