KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan today discussed the arrangements for the Annual Machhail Yatra 2014 at a meeting of all concerned District Officers and representatives of Sarva Shakti Sevak Sanstha Kishtwar.
In the meeting, the members of the Sanstha apprised the Deputy Commissioner that the Yatra will start from August 1 2014.
On the same day langers for devotees will also start functioning at various places up to the holy shrine, the meeting was told.
It was further revealed that the Chhari Mubarak will reach Kishtwar on August 18th and on Aug 19th proceed towards Gulabgarh Padder. On August 20, the Chhari Mubarak, enroute to holy shrine of Maa Chandi, will stay at Massu, while on Auguts 21 at Chishoti and on finally reach Machhail on August 22 .
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure fool proof security, besides availability of drinking water, Electricity, halogen lights, firewood, electric generator, medical facilities, ambulance, ration supply , fire extinguishers, temporary toilet facilities and sufficient number of vehicles for the devotees enroute to the holy Shrine.
GREF authorities were asked to immediately repair the road upto Gulabgarh, while Xen R&B was directed to repair the bridle path and short bridges from Gulabgarh to Machhail Shrine.
