Arrangements for PM’s visit reviewed
CHANDERKOT, NOVEMBER 3: The arrangements for the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s visit were reviewed in a high level meeting attended by Minister of State for Public Works (R&B) and Revenue, Sunil Kumar Sharma, Member of Parliament, Shamsher Singh Manhas, MLA Ramban Neelam Kumar Langeh and MLA Doda Shakti Parihar at Chanderkot today.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Chanderkot on November 7, 2015 to inaugurate the Baglihar Hydro Electric Power Project Phase-II and four laning project of Udhampur-Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar National highway.
The Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Bashir Ahmed Dar briefed the meeting about the various arrangements being put in place by the district administration for the visit.
SSP Ramban, Randeep Kumar, SSP Traffic, Sanjay Kotwal, ADDC, Ravinder Sadhu Chief Engineer, JKPDC Abdul Wahid including representatives of NHAI and Jai Prakash Associates were also present in the meeting.
The arrangements discussed included security, parking of public and government vehicles, traffic arrangement on the NH44, drinking water, sitting of VIPs, media persons and public, sanitation besides other related issues were also discussed in the meeting.
